We lost Joe on August 15th, 2007, to cancer. May God bless and keep him, and comfort and support his family. We'll miss him.

The Leader of the Band has passed. Nelson McGee left us on February 22nd, 2012.

Concho Grass members (more or less current):

Randy Blackwood - banjo, guitar, vocals
Ricky Rogers -  Dobro
Ron Gore - mandolin, vocals
Stacy Barron Jackson - bass guitar

Some band alumni include Tom Blackwood, Tracy and Sebie Denson, Christina Ridgeway, Jake Wyatt, Paul Batten and Dean Purcella. This is a very short list - I'm constantly finding more folks who, at one time or another, played with Nelson.

Frequent band guest pickers include Jack Boen on bass (doghouse), Horace Hounshell on guitar, and Raymie Moore on fiddle.
